‘Israel’ kills five in Gaza on day of Netanyahu address

‘Israeli’ forces killed five Palestinians, including a woman, and wounded dozens more across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, according to Felesteen Online, which cited medical and local sources. The violence coincided with ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's address to the United Nations General Assembly.

Among the deadliest incidents, an ‘Israeli’ drone struck a vehicle near al-Baidar on al-Rashid Street, killing one person and wounding 16 others; footage of the strike's aftermath circulated afterward. In Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, an airstrike on another vehicle killed one person and wounded nine more.

Further south, Hassan al-Batta died from wounds sustained during shelling in Khan Younis.  In Rafah's al-Mawasi area, a woman was shot dead by ‘Israeli’ forces. A man identified as Abu Mdein was critically wounded by gunfire west of al-Zahra City and later succumbed to his injuries.

Additional casualties were reported in central Gaza, where a woman was shot on Twenty Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp, and a man was wounded by ‘Israeli’ tank fire in Bureij.

Separately, residents reported that quadcopter drones flew over Gaza City late Thursday, dropping bags containing a foul-smelling substance. The contents and purpose of the material remained unknown.

‘Israeli’ forces also carried out demolitions east of Gaza City and fired artillery near Jabalia and Beit Lahia, while reconnaissance aircraft were reported flying at low altitude over the strip.
