Jordan condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi cities

• This follows multiple waves of Houthi strikes on Saudi Arabia since early Tuesday. 

Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday condemned attacks by Yemen's Houthis on civilians and civilian sites in Saudi Arabia, describing the strikes as a "flagrant violation" of Saudi sovereignty and a breach of international law.

In a statement, the ministry said the Houthis had targeted the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif with ballistic missiles and drones. The ministry called the attacks a "flagrant violation" of Saudi sovereignty, "a threat to its security, stability and territorial integrity," and "a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter."

Ministry spokesman Ambassador Fuad Majali affirmed Jordan's "absolute solidarity" with Saudi Arabia, stating that the Kingdom stands with Riyadh "in every step it takes to protect its security, stability, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents."
