Photo shows 'Israeli' soldiers posing with abused Palestinian detainee

• Investigators say such images have increasingly been shared online as alleged “farewell rituals” by departing soldiers. 

Digital evidence compiled by the open-source monitoring project Israel Genocide Tracker has documented Tuesday 'Israeli' military personnel posing with a bound, blindfolded, and abused Palestinian detainee inside a military transport vehicle. 

The image shows two smiling 'Israeli' soldiers holding assault rifles inside an armored transport vehicle, posing in front of a blindfolded Palestinian detainee who is seated on the floor with his hands bound and his head forced downward. 

For Israeli terrorists finishing their service, posing with kidnapped Palestinians, tortured, starved and used as bait for months, is a farewell ritual; it's a trophy to practice and a display of dominance.

Human rights advocates and digital investigators note that for outgoing 'Israeli' personnel, taking and sharing these trophies on personal social media accounts has become a normalized "farewell ritual" to mark the completion of their deployment. 

For the Palestinian detainees, these moments often represent their last known sighting before being subjected to execution, severe interrogation, or forced disappearance in 'Israeli' military facilities.

Evidence of mistreatment 

International legal experts and human rights organizations, including the Public Committee Against Torture in 'Israel', emphasize that capturing, publishing, and celebrating photos of bound detainees constitutes a direct violation of the Geneva Conventions, which strictly prohibit subjecting prisoners of war and protected persons to insults, public curiosity, or humiliating and degrading treatment.
