US President Donald Trump said the Strait of Hormuz is in “extremely good shape,” while claiming that Iran’s economy, military and leadership have been largely deteriorated. He added, “It doesn’t mean we won’t smack them to see what happens.”

Iran said it attacked US bases in Jordan and US military targets at Al Menhad airbase in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), following US strikes on two rocket launchers on Iran’s Larak Island.

The UAE’s Defence Ministry rejected Iran’s claims that Al Menhad airbase had been targeted.

Iranian state media reported that the US attack on Larak Island killed three people and wounded several Iranian fighters and civilians.
