Day 187 | Trump says latest strikes on Iran are 'justified,' warns Tehran against retaliation
The US military says it has launched new strikes on targets in Iran in response to what Washington described as attempted Iranian attacks on commercial shipping and US forces in the region. Iranian media reported explosions in several locations, including Asaluyeh, Jiroft, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Konarak, Chabahar, Jask, Sirik and Lavan.
Iran’s Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vowed that the United States would regret the attacks and face what they described as “severe punishment.” The IRGC said it would respond to the latest US strikes, further raising fears of renewed escalation in the region.
US President Donald Trump defended the strikes as “very justified” and warned Tehran against retaliation, saying that if Iran responds, it “will be hit again at a much harder and higher level.”
Bahrain issues alert over 'potential threat'
Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior issued an alert over a potential threat, urging citizens and residents to remain calm and proceed to the nearest safe location.
The ministry also called on the public to follow updates through official news channels and comply with safety instructions to protect public safety.
CENTCOM says US completes wave of strikes on Iranian targets
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its forces completed a wave of strikes against Iranian military targets on September 1.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) facilities and assets, including air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets, mine-laying capabilities, and communications facilities.
CENTCOM said the strikes followed what it described as recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and US service members.
More than 50,000 US service members are currently operating across the Middle East, CENTCOM said, adding that US forces remain prepared to continue operations ordered by the US president.

Kuwait’s military said its air defense systems are currently responding to hostile drone attacks amid what it described as “Iranian aggression.”
The military said any explosions heard in Kuwait are the result of air defense systems intercepting the incoming attacks.
Royal Jordanian confirms no flight changes after Iran strike
Royal Jordanian CEO Samer Majali said there have been no changes to flight operations or schedules, with the airline continuing to operate normally amid regional developments.
Majali said the airline remains in continuous coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management and other relevant authorities to monitor developments and ensure passenger safety.
He added that any changes to flight schedules resulting from regional developments would be announced through Royal Jordanian’s official channels.
US missile attack hits outskirts of Iran’s Ahvaz
A US missile strike hit an area on the outskirts of Ahvaz, in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province, according to the Tasnim news agency, citing provincial Deputy Governor for Security Affairs Valiollah Hayati.
Hayati said authorities were assessing the extent of the damage. No further details were immediately available.

The Telecommunications Company of Iran's Hormozgan province reported a complete disruption of communication and internet services in the Kuhastak area following targeted US military strikes.
Iranian supreme leader says Tehran has ‘unforgettable lessons’ for US
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States that Tehran and the “Resistance Front” have “unforgettable lessons” for Washington following the launch of new US strikes on Iran.
“The Iranian nation and the Resistance Front have unforgettable lessons for the American enemy,” Khamenei said in a post on X, according to reports.
The United States began a new wave of strikes on Iranian targets on Tuesday, September 1, amid renewed hostilities between Washington and Tehran.
Iran’s Fars news agency reported that four people, including one child, were killed in the strikes. Iranian authorities have also reported explosions in several locations across southern Iran.
Wedding venue footage shows aftermath of US strike in Iran
Footage from a wedding venue in Kuhestak shows the aftermath of a US strike that reportedly killed several people and injured more than 50 others.
Iran’s Health Ministry reported that several people, including a child, were killed in Kuhestak, while more than 50 others were injured.
This came as US targeted several areas across Iran earlier Tuesday.
Jordan intercepts 10 ballistic missiles
Jordan’s Armed Forces said Wednesday that the Kingdom’s air defense systems dealt with 13 ballistic missiles that entered Jordanian airspace.
The armed forces said air defenses successfully intercepted and destroyed 10 missiles, while three missiles fell in remote areas away from population centers.
