Former US President Joe Biden’s prostate cancer has metastasized into his bones and other parts of his body, causing him significant pain, his son Hunter Biden revealed in an interview broadcast by the BBC last night.

Hunter provided a solemn update on his father’s worsening health condition, noting the severe physical toll the disease has taken.

“The cancer has spread, metastasized into his bones and further,” Hunter Biden told the BBC. “It’s very painful and it’s very debilitating in many respects.”

Diagnosis history 

The former president publicly disclosed his cancer diagnosis in May of last year, less than four months after completing his tenure at the White House.

Reflecting on his father's response to the illness, Hunter expressed deep concern over how his father handles the physical discomfort.

“It’s really sad to watch,” Hunter said. “The only thing that I’d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good.”

Ongoing public presence

Despite the progression of the disease and its debilitating effects, Hunter affirmed that his father has not stepped back completely from public life.

He emphasized that the former president remains dedicated to addressing key national issues and speaking out publicly.

“He’s still doing his thing,” Hunter said. “He so believes in this country.”
