Roya Media Group takes legal stance against unauthorized use of its brand

Roya Media Group on Tuesday reaffirmed that Royanews.tv is its only official news website, rejecting any affiliation with unauthorized websites, platforms, or social media accounts that use the "Roya" name or falsely suggest a connection to the company.

The statement, issued by Watan Satellite Broadcasting LLC / Roya Media Group – Roya TV, said the move aims to uphold transparency, protect the company's intellectual property rights and registered trademarks, and prevent public confusion over the use of the "Roya" name.

Roya Media Group categorically stated that it has no legal, administrative, contractual, or organizational relationship with the website operating under the domain Royanews.com, stressing that the site is not affiliated with the group or any of its official platforms in any capacity.

The company reaffirmed that its sole official and authorized news platform is Roya News, accessible exclusively through the domain Royanews.tv.

The statement also clarified that Alaa Asha Al-Dwaimeh is not employed by Roya Media Group, does not work for Roya TV or Roya News, and has no contractual, professional, or organizational relationship with the company or any of its subsidiaries.

Roya further emphasized that any use of the "Roya" name or any similar designation outside its officially authorized platforms, including pages or accounts such as "royanewsusa" or other similarly named accounts, does not represent the group, its editorial policy, or its official positions. The company said it bears no responsibility for any content, statements, or publications issued through such platforms.

The group also noted that it does not currently operate any official news pages or social media accounts targeting audiences in the United States. Any account or page claiming or suggesting an affiliation with Roya Media Group without an official announcement from the company should be considered unauthorized.

To eliminate any ambiguity, Roya Media Group confirmed that its official digital presence consists exclusively of:

• Official news website: Royanews.tv
• Verified Roya News social media accounts published or linked through the official website, including official accounts on Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, in addition to the group's official WhatsApp and Telegram channels.
  The company warned that any website, platform, page, or account using the "Roya" name, logo, or any similar branding capable of misleading the public, without prior written authorization from the group, is unauthorized and does not represent Roya Media Group.

Roya Media Group added that its legal representatives will pursue the necessary procedures before Jordan's Media Commission and other relevant authorities to verify the legal and licensing status of any website or platform using the "Roya" name or similar branding. The company said it will take all appropriate legal and administrative measures to stop any unauthorized use that infringes on its intellectual property rights, misleads the public, or harms its registered trademarks and commercial identity.

The statement concluded by affirming that Watan Satellite Broadcasting LLC / Roya Media Group – Roya TV reserves all of its legal rights, both civil and criminal, within Jordan and internationally, against any individual or entity that infringes upon its intellectual property, commercial name, registered trademarks, impersonates the company, or uses names, logos, or platforms that could falsely suggest an association with Roya Media Group.
