- Iran announces suspension of military operations against 'Israel'.
- Trump calls on both sides to stop attacks and preserve the ceasefire.
- 'Israeli' official says Netanyahu-Trump call was "good" and "very positive."
Iran's military command announced Monday that it is halting its operations against 'Israel' after the two sides exchanged fire for the first time since a truce took effect in April.
In a statement carried by Iranian state television, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said Iran had delivered a "painful response" to 'Israel' and was therefore ending its military operations.
"Accordingly, the cessation of armed forces operations is hereby announced," the statement said.
However, the command warned that any further acts of aggression would trigger a stronger response.
"It is emphasised that should acts of aggression and hostility continue, including in southern Lebanon, much more severe and crushing measures than before will follow," the statement added.
Trump urges calm
The announcement came after the US President, Donald Trump, called on both Iran and 'Israel' to stop attacks and voiced optimism about efforts to maintain the ceasefire.
The renewed tensions had raised concerns about a broader escalation after both sides exchanged strikes despite the truce that has largely held since April.
Netanyahu-Trump call described as positive
Meanwhile, a senior 'Israeli' official said a phone conversation between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump on Monday was "good" and "very positive."
Speaking to 'Israel's' Channel 14, the official said the two leaders remain aligned despite recent disagreements over military actions in the region.
The official's remarks suggest ongoing coordination between Washington and 'Israel' as efforts continue to prevent a wider regional conflict while maintaining military pressure on multiple fronts.
