US President Donald Trump defended ongoing negotiations with Iran, saying any future agreement would be “good and proper” and fundamentally different from the nuclear deal reached under former President Barack Obama.

Writing on Truth Social, Trump said the Obama-era agreement gave Iran “massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon.”

“I don’t make bad deals”

Trump claimed the emerging agreement under discussion is “the exact opposite,” while stressing that negotiations are not yet complete.

“Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet,” he wrote.

“So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about.”

Trump added: “Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”
