3 hours ago|An ‘Israeli’ soldier was killed on Friday by a Hezbollah drone near the Lebanese border, the ‘Israeli’ military said in a statement on Saturday.
He is identified as Staff Sgt. Noam Hamburger, 23 years old, a technology and maintenance soldier in the 401st Brigade.
Two other soldiers were wounded in the same attack, the statement adds.
He is ninth ‘Israeli’ soldier to be killed in southern Lebanon since the start of the ceasefire between ‘Israel’ and Hezbollah in mid-April, according to Hebrew media.
He is also the 22nd to be killed since the start of full-on war between the two in early March.
