Jordan army foils attempt to smuggle drugs via balloons

The Jordan Army's Eastern Military Command thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics loaded onto electronically guided balloons early Wednesday morning, according to an official statement. 

Border Guard units, through surveillance, detected and intercepted the balloons, dropping their cargo inside Jordanian territory in coordination with security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) added.
