  • Jordan receives 81 sick and injured Gaza children in latest medical evacuation flight.

A group of 81 sick and injured children from the Gaza Strip arrived at the King Hussein Bridge as part of the 26th batch of a Jordanian medical evacuation initiative.

The children were accompanied by 108 family members upon arrival, where they were received and prepared for transfer to several hospitals across Jordan for treatment, including the King Hussein Cancer Center as well as private hospitals.

The children are suffering from chronic illnesses or war-related injuries, amid severe shortages in medical resources inside the Gaza Strip, making treatment abroad necessary.

With this latest arrival, the total number of evacuees under the initiative has risen to around 2,400 people, including nearly 700 children who have either received or are still receiving treatment in Jordan.

The evacuations are part of the “Jordanian Medical Corridor,” a humanitarian initiative launched under royal directives in March 2025. The program aims to transfer sick and injured children from Gaza to Jordan for medical care, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, ensuring treatment is provided according to the highest medical standards amid ongoing health challenges in the enclave.
