Jordan has declared official public holidays for Independence Day and Eid al-Adha, according to circulars issued by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan.
In a circular released today, the prime minister ordered the suspension of work across ministries, government departments, public institutions, universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and state-owned companies on Monday, May 25, marking Jordan’s Independence Day.
In a separate circular, the government set the Eid al-Adha holiday from the morning of Tuesday, May 26, until the evening of Saturday, May 30.
Both decisions exclude ministries and institutions whose operational nature requires continued work during the holiday period.
