The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) on Thursday dispatched a large humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon to support communities facing ongoing hardships.

The convoy consisted of 19 trucks carrying food supplies, tents, and essential relief items. The operation was coordinated with the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army, and supported by the European Union and ten partner countries.

The aid shipment included contributions from Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Romania, Portugal, Germany, Singapore, Luxembourg, Spain, and the Netherlands, according to the organization.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli said the initiative reinforces Jordan’s position as a trusted regional logistics hub for coordinating international humanitarian assistance.

He also expressed appreciation to Syria for facilitating the transit of the convoy through its territory, which helped ensure the swift and efficient delivery of aid to Lebanon.

The latest convoy follows previous Jordanian relief efforts, with around 40 trucks sent in recent weeks, reflecting what officials described as the kingdom’s sustained commitment to supporting the Lebanese people.

The organization said expanding international partnerships aims to meet rising humanitarian needs in Lebanon and strengthen regional emergency response efforts in line with Jordan’s leadership directives.
