Iran embassy in Amman affirms "Jordan is not a target"

In a message of respect for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Amman addressed the Jordanian people, highlighting deep appreciation for Jordan’s regional and international role.

The statement emphasized the longstanding historical and religious ties that bind the two nations.

Jordan a beacon of security and stability

The embassy praised the stance of the Jordanian people, describing the kingdom as an Arab and Islamic country with an important and respected position among the nations of the region.

The statement clarified that Iran fully recognizes Jordan’s aspirations, both leadership and people, to strengthen security and stability and avoid wars, aligning with the kingdom’s continuous pursuit of sustainable peace through dialogue.

Assurances on the kingdom’s safety and territorial sanctity

The embassy delivered firm and reassuring messages to Jordanians, stressing the following points:

• Outside the circle of targeting: Iran clearly confirmed that Jordan and its people have never been, and will never be, among its objectives.
• Strong ties: The statement emphasized that cultural and religious relations between the two peoples are very solid and cannot be undermined by false narratives.
• Mutual respect: Tehran expressed deep respect for Jordanian sovereignty, denying that its defensive measures are directed against friendly or neighboring countries, with Jordan foremost among them.

Call for solidarity and vigilance

The embassy concluded its message by commending the awareness of the Jordanian people, expressing confidence that “the conscious citizen” will not allow attempts to sow discord or misunderstanding to affect their perception of the facts.

It also called for solidarity among the sons of the Islamic nation, asking God to grant the region a safer and more just future under wisdom and unity.
