Departure options from Jordan
The embassy said commercial travel routes remain available for departure from the country.
US citizens can leave Jordan through commercial flights departing from Amman’s main international airport to destinations outside the region.
Emergency registration
The embassy also urged Americans to register in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security updates as soon as they are issued.
The program allows US citizens abroad to receive alerts and maintain contact with US diplomatic missions in case of emergencies.
