In alignment with Jordan’s national digital transformation and employment strategy, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE), through the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) Project, is working with UniHouse in Jordan to deploy Ostathi Jordan as a national digital platform.

The initiative aims to strengthen digital skills development in Jordan, reduce unemployment, and expand participation in emerging gig economies by equipping beneficiaries with practical, income-generating competencies aligned with Jordan’s labor market demand.

Ostathi, developed by UniHouse, has been introduced in Jordan as Ostathi Jordan — a national digital skills platform supporting employment, entrepreneurship, and participation in emerging gig economies. UniHouse serves as a consultant and strategic advisor, overseeing implementation and ensuring alignment with international best practices.

The platform operates as a scalable digital learning ecosystem designed to equip beneficiaries with practical, income-generating skills aligned with Jordan’s evolving labor market. Under this initiative, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) through the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) Project, seeks to strengthen employability, foster entrepreneurship, and create sustainable economic opportunities across the Kingdom.

Addressing Unemployment Through Localized Digital Solutions in Jordan

While Ostathi operates as a global digital community, its implementation in Jordan is fully localized to respond to national employment priorities and private-sector demand.

The platform delivers structured pathways in:

  • Digital and technology skills
  • Freelancing and gig economy readiness
  • Entrepreneurship and micro-enterprise development
  • Professional and vocational upskilling

By directly linking education to labor market demand, Ostathi helps bridge the gap between skills development and real income generation — a critical priority in addressing unemployment in Jordan.

Enabling Participation in Jordan’s Growing Gig Economy

As gig economies continue to expand regionally and globally, Jordanian youth and professionals are increasingly seeking flexible, digital, and platform-based income opportunities.

Ostathi supports beneficiaries to:

  • Develop digital freelancing and remote work capabilities
  • Launch micro and small enterprises
  • Access regional and international digital marketplaces
  • Strengthen financial literacy and business management skills

This model ensures that participants move beyond training into practical economic participation, contributing to both household income stability and national economic resilience.

Inclusive Skills Development and Economic Participation

UniHouse leads implementation under international capacity-building standards, ensuring the program maintains quality, scalability, and measurable impact.

Special focus is placed on:

  • Youth and first-time job seekers
  • Women and under-represented groups
  • Unemployed and underemployed individuals
  • Aspiring entrepreneurs and gig economy participants

The initiative emphasizes inclusion, accessibility, and long-term livelihood creation rather than short-term training outputs.

This long-term approach also aligns with wider national conversations on human capital development in Jordan, especially the importance of inclusive, skills-based pathways that strengthen employability and economic participation.

Technology Infrastructure Powered by Microsoft

Ostathi leverages secure cloud and artificial intelligence technologies supported by Microsoft, enabling adaptive learning experiences, multilingual content delivery, and scalable access across Jordan for consultants, instructors, and learners.

The initiative supports Jordan’s broader economic modernization agenda and reinforces the country’s position as a regional hub for digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and future-of-work skills development.

By integrating government leadership, private-sector innovation, and advanced digital infrastructure, the initiative contributes to Jordan’s broader ambition to strengthen digital competitiveness, expand entrepreneurship, and accelerate technology-enabled economic growth
