In a pivotal address reflecting the gravity of the current regional situation, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, said the party has complied with the ceasefire agreement, while accusing ‘Israel’ of violating all its terms.

He explained that past restraint in responding to repeated attacks was intended to avoid accusations of obstructing diplomatic efforts, but stressed that “patience has limits” after what he described as significant provocations.

He warned that ‘Israel’ poses an existential threat to the Lebanese people, the country, and the region as a whole.

Expansionist ambitions and the resistance arsenal

The Hezbollah leader highlighted that Benjamin Netanyahu has openly expressed ambitions for a “Greater Israel” project, arguing that these expansionist intentions show that the problem lies not in Hezbollah’s weapons but in ‘Israel’ and its repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

He also criticized Lebanese government decisions on August 5 and 7, saying they weakened the official stance and granted legitimacy to aggression, calling for an immediate halt to what he described as the dangerous joint aggression by ‘Israel’ and the United States.

‘Israel’ claims air supremacy over Tehran

On the other side, the 'Israel' military claimed full air control over Iranian airspace, continuing strikes on missile systems and military industries.

A military statement reported an attack on a major site in eastern Iran housing senior officials. Netanyahu asserted that his pilots now fly freely over both Iran and Lebanon.

The strikes coincided with White House confirmation of “Midnight Hammer,” an operation that destroyed Iranian nuclear sites, with US President Donald Trump vowing to hold Tehran accountable for hostile actions.
