Jordan’s Chief of Staff, Yousef Al-Huneiti, visited Hawk Missile Unit 20 on Tuesday, meeting with the Royal Jordanian Air Force commander and the unit’s leadership.
During the visit, Al-Huneiti received a briefing on the unit’s operational and technical readiness, including recent measures against missiles and drones targeting sites within Jordan.

“Protecting the kingdom’s skies is a duty that allows no compromise,” Al-Huneiti said. “We will not allow any breach of Jordanian airspace and will respond firmly to any threat.”
He underscored that the General Command, under the directives of King Abdullah II, continues to modernize air defense systems in line with current technological and strategic requirements. Training and specialized preparedness remain priorities to strengthen operational effectiveness.

Al-Huneiti joined senior officers in breaking fast with personnel at Martyr Muwafaq Al-Salti Air Base, praising their vigilance and dedication. He reaffirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces remain the nation’s protective shield under all circumstances.
