  • Iranian missiles directly targeted Jordanian sites, not just passing through.
  • Citizens urged to follow official safety instructions and avoid filming security incidents.

Brigadier General Mustafa Al Hiyari, Director of Military Media, confirmed that the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army – are fully carrying out their duty to protect the homeland and safeguard citizens. He praised the efforts of the Armed Forces and the Royal Jordanian Air Force in intercepting missiles and drones that targeted sites across Jordan.

Al Hiyari emphasized that the missiles and aircraft were not merely passing through Jordanian airspace but were directly aimed at multiple sites within the Kingdom.

“Since the start of this conflict, Jordan has dealt with missiles and drones that were not directed outside its borders but targeted Jordanian territory. We thank God that our forces were able to respond effectively,” he said.

The military urged citizens to follow official safety instructions, noting that public alerts and guidance are issued whenever there is a potential threat.

Addressing rumors that drones or aircraft had been launched from Jordan to strike targets in Iraq, Al Hiyari said these claims were unfounded and not issued by any official Iraqi authority. “The Jordan Armed Forces clearly stated yesterday that this is false, and we will respond firmly to any attempt to threaten national security,” he added.

He also warned against sharing misleading videos or information, which sometimes originate from other countries, and cautioned that citizens’ phones could be targeted by fake messages. Al Hiyari stressed that citizens should avoid filming or posting content from security incidents, and that both media outlets and the public must stay clear of potential targets to ensure safety.

The Armed Forces continue to maintain full readiness while carrying out their mission to protect the nation and its people.
