His Majesty King Abdullah II met with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in London on Monday, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein.

During the meeting at the British government headquarters, the King emphasized the depth of Jordan-UK relations and the commitment to enhancing cooperation across economic, investment, and technological sectors.

The King also highlighted the importance of joint efforts in defense and military fields to serve mutual interests and achieve regional stability, praising the UK for hosting a new round of Aqaba meetings tomorrow.

On regional developments, His Majesty reaffirmed Jordan’s rejection of 'Israeli' measures aimed at entrenching settlements and imposing sovereignty over the West Bank.

Regarding Gaza, he stressed the need to ensure implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas to alleviate civilian suffering.

The King also underscored the importance of supporting Syria’s efforts to maintain its security, stability, and sovereignty.

Prime Minister Starmer highlighted the significance of the Jordan-UK partnership in promoting regional stability and expressed his country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations across all sectors.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi, King Abdullah’s Chief of Staff Eng. Alaa Batayneh, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas.
