The personnel of the Jordanian Field Hospital Gaza/9 arrived on Tuesday at their mission site in southern Gaza to carry out their humanitarian duty of providing medical care and relief services, helping alleviate the ongoing humanitarian suffering in the Strip.

The deployment comes as part of the continued humanitarian and medical efforts undertaken by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, to support the resilience of the people of Gaza.

Upon arrival, medical and administrative teams immediately began taking the necessary measures to prepare the hospital’s clinics and medical facilities. Work plans were activated to ensure readiness to receive patients in the coming days, guaranteeing the delivery of medical services efficiently and in accordance with the highest humanitarian and relief standards.

Comprehensive Medical Specialties to Address Diverse Cases

The hospital’s medical and administrative staff include a wide range of medical, nursing, and technical specialties. These cover general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedics, general practice, anesthesia and intensive care, dermatology, vascular surgery, pediatric and neonatal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, maxillofacial surgery, and neurosurgery.

In addition, the hospital features a mobile prosthetics support unit, enhancing its ability to handle complex and emergency medical cases and to provide specialized care for amputees.

During its tenure, the Jordanian Field Hospital Gaza/8 treated 58,554 patients and performed 650 major and minor surgeries. The hospital also contributed to the fitting of 168 upper and lower prosthetic limbs, bringing the total number of prosthetics provided under the “Restoring Hope” initiative to 805.
