Rising school violence
The attack comes amid a series of violent incidents in French schools. In June last year, a 14-year-old student in Huziran was accused of killing a 31-year-old teaching assistant during a bag search. In April, a student in Nantes stabbed a girl to death and injured several classmates.
Authorities continue to monitor and respond to rising concerns over student violence in schools across the country.
