Iran threatens strikes on heart of ‘Israel’ if attacked

Senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Ali Shamkhani, said the country’s top priority at the present time is full preparedness to repel any potential threat, stressing that any hostile move would be met with a proportional, effective, and deterrent response.

Ali Shamkhani added that Tehran would not limit any confrontation to the sea, but has broader scenarios that include launching a direct attack deep inside “occupied territory,” referring to ‘Israel’.

He further claimed that Iran’s military has “uncovered” the enemy’s plans and holds field superiority that would allow it to strike at the appropriate time.

Iran’s defense strategy and national security options

Shamkhani stated that Tehran has accordingly designed both a defensive and offensive strategy.

He also emphasized that Iran would resort, if necessary, to more effective options to defend its national security and territorial integrity, noting that all movements are being closely monitored to ensure a rapid response to any military emergency.

Earlier today, Drop Site News reported that Senior United States military officials have alerted a key Middle East ally to prepare for a potential US attack on Iran, which could commence as early as Sunday, according to intelligence sources cited by the website.

The planned strikes would target Iran's nuclear facilities, ballistic missile sites, and military installations, with considerations for assassinating senior Iranian leaders to facilitate a leadership change.

The operation focuses on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a pivotal entity in Iran's political and economic landscape established post-1979 revolution.

A former senior US intelligence official, who advises the Trump administration informally, stated, "This isn’t about the nukes or the missile program. This is about regime change."
