  • A traffic collision on Jordan’s Desert Highway left three people dead and two others injured.

Three young men were killed and two others injured in a traffic collision on the Desert Highway, approximately three kilometers past the Hashemiyah area toward the capital, Amman.

The Desert Highway was more than a stretch of asphalt on this day, it became the final stop for three lives just beginning to take shape. The victims, all in the prime of their youth, had set out in search of opportunity, carrying hopes for the future and smiles they did not know would be their last.

The deceased were identified as Ahmad Jameel Al-Ghababsheh, Mohammad Khalil Al-Sabbagh, and Iyad Saddad Al-Khasbeh. Friends bound by companionship in life, fate brought them together in death as well, turning their names into a source of enduring grief for families and loved ones.

The Public Security Directorate’s External Patrols Department said its teams responded immediately to the incident. The deceased and injured were transported to the nearest hospital, while specialized crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway to reopen the highway to traffic.

Patrol units remained on site to manage traffic flow and provide guidance to motorists, aiming to prevent congestion and ensure the safety of road users in the area.
