Crown Prince Al Hussein holds high-level meetings at Davos

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II held several meetings with officials and heads of state at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
HRH met with the European Investment Bank (EIB) President Nadia Calviño, during which they discussed ways of expanding cooperation to implement several projects in Jordan.
His Royal Highness commended EIB’s support to Jordan for implementation of vital projects, particularly the Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance project.

He also met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Barham Salih.
The meeting covered ways to strengthen cooperation between Jordan and the UNHCR, in order to ensure the continued provision of services to refugees.
Discussions also addressed the importance of the international community shouldering its responsibilities towards countries hosting refugees, to enable them to continue providing vital assistance and services to these refugee communities.

HRH also met with Austria Chancellor Christian Stocker.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince praised the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Austria, and emphasised the importance of building on them in various fields.
His Royal Highness also highlighted the efforts of Jordan’s National Council for Future Technology and ongoing vocational and technical education and training programmes, calling for exchanging expertise between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.

A meeting was held with the King Philippe of the Belgians, where HRH conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah II’s regards to King Philippe.
Discussions covered the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Belgium, as well as readiness to expand economic cooperation.
The meeting also addressed regional developments and the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation on various issues of mutual concern, in the best interest of the two countries.

His Royal Highness also held separate meetings with CEOs, founders, and representatives of global companies to explore new avenues for cooperation and exchange of expertise, in order to enhance economic and investment growth and contribute to honing digital skills among Jordanians.
