Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the formation of the Palestinian National Committee to manage the Gaza Strip as a temporary transitional body. The ministry also praised U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a peace council, commending his leadership in efforts to halt the war on Gaza, prevent annexation of any part of the West Bank, and advance long-term peace in the region. Efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey were also recognized for their supporting roles.
Support for Committee Operations
Spokesperson Fouad Majali emphasized the importance of backing the temporary committee in managing daily affairs for Gaza residents while maintaining connections with the West Bank and preserving the unity of Palestinian territory.

Majali stressed the need for strict adherence to the ceasefire, immediate and unrestricted humanitarian access, and early recovery and reconstruction initiatives across Gaza. He highlighted that these steps should pave the way for the Palestinian National Authority to resume its responsibilities in the Strip.
Commitment to a Two-State Solution
Majali reaffirmed the necessity of coordinated efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on a two-state solution, establishing an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty over its national territory, in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
