  • ‘Israel’ launches early morning airstrikes on Gaza following Palestinian casualties.
  • Airstrikes target multiple areas despite ongoing ceasefire; violations continue since October 10.

‘Israel’ carried out airstrikes across multiple locations in the Gaza Strip early Sunday, following the killing and wounding of Palestinians on Saturday.

The 'Israeli' aircraft targeted areas in eastern Rafah, Khan Younis in the south, and the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Al Jazeera.

'Israeli' military claims

On Saturday, the 'Israeli' military admitted to killing three Palestinians in different parts of Gaza, claiming they posed an immediate threat to troops on the ground. In a statement, it said forces from the 188th Brigade operating in southern Gaza observed three Palestinians crossing the so-called “yellow line”, approaching military positions. One was reportedly attempting to seize 'Israeli' military equipment before fleeing.

The statement added that 'Israeli' airstrikes, guided by brigade fire control systems, killed one of the men west of the yellow line. In northern Gaza, the military claimed two others were killed after being spotted near the line and allegedly threatening 'Israeli' forces.

Palestinian casualties reported

Palestinian medical sources confirmed that two Palestinians were killed and several others injured across Gaza on Saturday. Among the attacks, an Israeli airstrike struck near the entrance of al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, wounding several people.

Witnesses told Anadolu Agency that all targeted areas had been vacated under the ceasefire agreement.

Ongoing ceasefire violations

The strikes come amid repeated breaches of the ceasefire in place since October 10, 2025. Since the agreement, ‘Israel’ has carried out hundreds of violations, including shelling and gunfire, resulting in the deaths of 439 Palestinians and injuries to 1,223 others.
