Jordan is ending the year under relatively calm weather conditions, with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies prevailing during the day and occasional scattered clouds.

Osama Al-Tarifi, Director of Operations at Arabia Weather, said during Roya TV’s Seven O’Clock News that the Kingdom was impacted by two moderate weather systems over the weekend.

He noted that conditions stabilized on Tuesday and Wednesday, but another weather system is expected to affect the country on Thursday, marking the third such system this week and bringing cooler temperatures.

Rain Returns, Winds Pick Up

Al-Tarifi explained that rainfall is expected to begin Wednesday morning in northern parts of the country, as weather conditions become increasingly unstable. This will be the third round of rain this week, with showers potentially becoming heavy at times, particularly during daylight hours, accompanied by strong winds across several regions.

He warned of possible flash flooding and rising water levels in low-lying areas, urging the public to take precautions, use heating appliances safely, dress warmly, and exercise caution while driving.

Slight Warm-Up Today

Weather forecasts indicate a slight increase in temperatures today, with daytime highs in Amman reaching around 13°C, two degrees higher than the previous day. Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to about 7°C under mostly clear skies.

New Year Brings Weather Changes

Looking ahead to Thursday, January 1, weather conditions are expected to shift as winds strengthen from the afternoon hours, followed by a chance of rain showers overnight. Temperatures are forecast to range between 12°C during the day and 7°C at night.
