Roya Media Group has completed filming its new comedy-drama series “Quban Mousa,” set to air as part of Roya TV’s Ramadan 2026 programming lineup. The series reflects Roya’s ongoing commitment to producing drama that blends entertainment with meaningful social themes.
The Creative Lab is leading the creative and production supervision of the series, while Al-Shubbak Foundation and The Show Services, one of Roya Media Group’s specialized television production companies, are handling the execution and production of the new Ramadan season in accordance with advanced technical and directing standards.
Set in a quiet village, the series follows Mousa, who inherits his late father’s old shop, known as “the Quban,” and finds himself in a confrontation with a wealthy investor seeking to transform the space into a modern commercial project. The storyline highlights the tension between preserving roots and adapting to contemporary change.
The series relies on situational and farcical comedy, unfolding through a series of humorous misunderstandings and escalating events, while addressing themes of identity, belonging, and family in a style that resonates with a broad audience.
“Quban Mousa” is directed by Zaid Bawab and stars Mohammad Al-Ajarmeh as Mousa, Noha Samarah as Mousa’s mother, and Rabi’ Zaitoun as Nader Bey, alongside Abdullah Abu Matar, Sarah Abu Zahra, and Abdullah Al-Shawabkeh.
Commenting on the series, Eng. Fares Sayegh, CEO of Roya Media Group, said:
“Quban Mousa represents the type of drama we aim to deliver at Roya Comedy with depth and a strong human dimension. The series addresses issues of identity, family, and the balance between tradition and change in a simple yet impactful way. We are confident it will achieve strong audience engagement during the Ramadan 2026 season.”
Through “Quban Mousa,” Roya Media Group continues to strengthen its presence in Ramadan drama and reaffirm its commitment to producing high-quality content that combines creative storytelling, cultural authenticity, and broad audience appeal, reinforcing its position as a leading media destination in Jordan and the region.
