  • At least 406 Palestinians were killed and around 1,118 injured after the ceasefire began on October 11, 2025.
  • The total death toll has reached 70,942 martyrs, with 171,195 wounded since October 2023, while hundreds of bodies remain trapped under rubble or in inaccessible areas.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip released new figures on Tuesday showing a deepening humanitarian catastrophe, with the cumulative death toll since the start of the aggression in October 2023 rising to 70,942 martyrs. The number of wounded has reached 171,195.

The ministry said the unprecedented human cost is compounded by severe logistical obstacles that continue to prevent the recovery of hundreds of bodies still trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings or lying in areas that remain inaccessible.

Despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 11, violations on the ground and the consequences of earlier bombardment have continued to claim lives. At least 406 Palestinians have been killed and around 1,118 injured during the ceasefire period, according to official data.

Observers say the truce has failed to halt the cycle of death facing Gaza’s population, whether from live fire or from collapsing structures that have become mass graves for survivors with no other shelter.

Over the past 24 hours, medical facilities received five martyrs. Some were killed in a new strike, while four others were recovered after being pulled from demolished sites. Alongside military threats, weather conditions have emerged as an additional deadly factor. The collapse of a building during the current low pressure system killed one man, raising the number of weather related collapse victims to 16.

In its statement, the Ministry of Health issued a strong warning over the inability of civil defense and ambulance crews to operate in several areas due to accumulated rubble, worn out equipment, and restrictions on access imposed by the occupation.

The death toll is expected to rise further with each new recovery operation, as Gaza’s tragedy continues to unfold between ongoing aggression by ‘Israel’, harsh winter conditions, and the failure of the international community to enforce full respect for humanitarian agreements.
