Prince of Wales, Prince William, recently met with a small group of severely ill children from Gaza who are receiving specialist medical treatment in the UK.

The visit, which took place at an undisclosed NHS location for security reasons, aimed to offer comfort to the young patients and their families amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

According to a Kensington Palace spokesperson, Prince William was deeply moved by the courage displayed by the children, who have endured experiences "no child should ever face."

He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the NHS teams providing exceptional care during this challenging time, praising their professionalism and humanity.

The children are part of a group of 50 young patients and their immediate families evacuated from Gaza to the UK earlier this year.

The first arrivals came in May 2025, with additional groups following in September, facilitated by the Department of Health and Social Care.

These evacuations were necessitated by the collapse of Gaza's healthcare system due to the ‘Israeli’ assault.

This is not Prince William's first engagement with the plight of those affected by the Middle East wars.

In February 2024, he called for an immediate end to the fighting during a visit to the British Red Cross. He also met Palestinian children at a West Bank refugee camp in 2018 and hosted aid workers last month.
