'Israeli' forces conducted a new incursion on Saturday in the southern countryside of Quneitra, in what Syrian authorities say is part of ongoing violations of the 1974 disengagement agreement.

According to Syrian sources, a patrol from 'Israeli' forces, consisting of two Hilux vehicles and two Humvees, advanced into a post located south of the village of Ruwayhina and north of the western village of Zubayda.

The incursion coincided with the deployment of two tanks on the road linking the two villages, indicating an effort to reinforce the presence of the forces and carry out reconnaissance activities in the area.

This move comes one day after a series of assaults carried out by the occupation forces:

  • Beit Jinn: The town was targeted yesterday in shelling that killed 13 civilians and injured dozens.
  • Al Hameediyah: Gunfire was directed at residents from the village as they returned from a public event in Khan Arnabah.
  • Artillery shelling: 'Israel' shelled Tal Ahmar Sharqi in rural Quneitra and the outskirts of the town of Kuya in western Daraa countryside.

Syrian call to deter 'Israel'

Syria continues to call for the withdrawal of 'Israel' from Syrian territory and urges the international community to assume its responsibilities in deterring occupation practices and ensuring respect for international law, the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic, and the unity of its land.
