  • 'Israeli' forces carried out an early morning attack on Beit Jinn, killing and injuring civilians.
  • Ground troops entered the town, arrested three people, and withdrew after clashes with locals.
  • 'Israeli' drones and aircraft continue to patrol, including the use of incendiary balloons.

Early Friday, an 'Israeli' military operation in the town of Beit Jinn in Damascus countryside left multiple civilians dead and several others injured, according to Syrian state media.

The incident follows the incursion of 'Israeli' forces into the town, during which three people were reportedly arrested.

Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reporters said 'Israeli' drones continue to hover over the area, and preliminary reports confirm the deaths of five individuals, including two children, whose bodies were taken to Al-Golan National Hospital in Al-Salam city, Quneitra.

According to the state broadcaster, “The number of martyrs from the Israeli aggression... has risen to 10, including women and children, while others remain trapped under the rubble.”

The operation began around 3:40 AM, when 'Israeli' forces targeted Beit Jinn with artillery shelling before entering the town. Residents confronted the invading troops, prompting violent clashes that involved heavy gunfire.

Following the withdrawal of ground forces, 'Israeli' aircraft patrolled the skies and released incendiary balloons over the area.
