Cooler weather, scattered rain expected across Jordan Saturday

• Jordan's weather is set to cool down Saturday with highs in Amman reaching 16°C (61°F), bringing scattered rain across northern and central regions.
• Rain showers may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hail, with wind stirring up dust in desert areas.

Temperatures are forecast to drop slightly on Saturday across Jordan, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The weather will be partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy and cool, with the maximum temperature in the capital, Amman, expected to reach about 16°C (61°F).

Rain, Thunder, and Hail Expected

The DoM forecasts scattered rain showers across the northern and central regions of the Kingdom. The agency noted that these showers may be heavy at times, accompanied by thunder and hail.

The scattered rainfall is not ruled out from extending occasionally to parts of the eastern and southwestern regions.

Winds will be westerly to southwesterly, moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active and stirring up dust in the badia (desert) areas. By nightfall, cool weather will prevail in most regions, with the chance of light rainfall continuing. The minimum temperature in Amman is expected to drop to about 11°C (52°F).

Outlook for the Coming Days

• Sunday, Nov. 16: The weather is expected to remain slightly cool in most regions, with a high of 17°C (63°F) and partly cloudy skies. The chance for light rain showers persists in parts of the northern and central areas. The precipitation chance will gradually weaken in the afternoon, and the weather will trend toward stability. The night will be cool with a low of 10°C (50°F).
• Monday, Nov. 17: A slight rise in temperatures is expected, with a high of 19°C (66°F). The weather will become slightly cool over the high mountain areas and pleasant in the rest of the regions. The night will be cool with a low of 12°C (54°F) and some scattered clouds.
