Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the continued terrorist attacks by extremist settlers against Palestinians, including the recent arson of Al-Hajja Hamida Mosque in Salfit, West Bank.

Spokesperson Fouad Al-Majali affirmed Jordan’s absolute rejection of such attacks and held 'Israel', as the occupying power, fully responsible.

The ministry described these assaults as an extension of 'Israel’s' extremist government policies and statements that fuel violence and hatred against the Palestinian people. The mosque burning was cited as a form of religious violation and organized terrorism carried out by settlers under the protection of 'Israeli' authorities.

Al-Majali warned that ongoing violations in the West Bank, coupled with restrictions on Palestinians and repeated settler attacks, risk igniting further instability in the region. He emphasized Jordan’s firm rejection of any attempts to alter the existing status quo.

The spokesperson called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities and to pressure 'Israel' to halt the escalation and settler attacks.

He reiterated Jordan’s support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent, sovereign state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, describing this as the only path to comprehensive and lasting peace that ensures regional security and stability.
