Qassam Brigades announce discovery of 'Israeli' soldier’s body in Gaza

Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on Tuesday that they had discovered the body of an 'Israeli' soldier east of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood during ongoing search and excavation operations along the so-called “yellow line,” the group said in a statement.

They added that arrangements are underway to hand over the body to 'Israeli' authorities.

In a separate statement, Qassam Brigades said that the entry of engineering equipment, accompanied by their personnel and the International Committee of the Red Cross, significantly aided the speed of recovering bodies.

The group noted that the collaboration had led to the discovery of several remains.
