The Palestinian NGOs Network has sounded the alarm over a deepening humanitarian crisis that continues to suffocate the besieged enclave.

In an urgent statement Sunday, the network said that “the amount of aid entering Gaza remains very limited” compared to the massive needs of its residents. It also revealed a shocking figure, 'Israel' has prevented 16,000 patients from traveling for medical treatment outside Gaza, leaving them to face an uncertain fate.

The network described the situation as a “compound crisis” affecting every aspect of life in the Strip.

Health disaster: 16,000 patients without treatment

Thousands of patients with critical and complex conditions remain trapped inside Gaza, where hospitals are either destroyed or severely lacking resources, according to the statement.

The network said the continued restrictions on patient movement amount to the denial of their most basic right to medical care.

Logistical paralysis: Roads remain blocked

The crisis is not limited to the lack of aid but extends to the inability to distribute it. The NGOs said “roads remain closed” across the Strip because 'Israel' has banned the entry of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers and excavators, which are essential for clearing debris and reopening routes.

This has left humanitarian teams unable to reach many communities in dire need.

Aid deliveries: a drop in the ocean

The network also criticized the current aid delivery mechanism, stressing that the limited amounts allowed into Gaza “do not meet even a fraction of the population’s needs.” Residents continue to face severe shortages of food, water, and medicine.

The statement concluded with an urgent call to action: “We demand the immediate and unrestricted opening of all Gaza crossings to allow the entry of more humanitarian aid before it is too late.”
