On Friday, the 'Israeli' newspaper Maariv reported that Itamar Ben-Gvir, 'Israel’s' National Security Minister, allegedly called on soldiers to open fire on any Palestinian child approaching the so-called “yellow line” in the Gaza Strip.

The report stated that this demand was made in the context of discussing heightened security measures along the border, where the “yellow line” is intended to serve as a warning boundary for the 'Israeli' army.

The “yellow line” refers to the area close to the Gaza border fence, closely monitored by the 'Israeli' army. Military patrols are stationed along the fence, utilizing surveillance cameras and motion detection technology to prevent attempts to breach the barrier or approach the border.

Military experts noted that instructions to shoot children represent an unprecedented escalation in 'Israeli' army policy, opening the door to wide legal and ethical criticism.
