'Israeli' drone strike kills one in southern Lebanon’s Ain Qana
A person was killed Wednesday morning in a drone strike carried out by 'Israel' in the southern Lebanese town of Ain Qana.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the 'Israeli' drone targeted a motorcycle on the Old Jibaneh Road in the Ain Qana area of the Iqlim al-Tuffah region. The motorcycle driver was reportedly killed in the attack.
The Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center confirmed in a statement that “the Israeli enemy’s strike on a motorcycle in Ain Qana, Tyre District, resulted in the death of a martyr.”
The strike comes amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement between 'Israel' and Lebanon, which was enacted on 27 November 2024. Despite the agreement, 'Israeli' forces continue daily demolition and bombing operations in southern Lebanon, with airstrikes occurring almost daily.
'Israeli' forces are also reportedly stationed at five positions in southern Lebanon, maintaining a military presence in the region.
