'Israel' kills 35 in Gaza despite ceasefire agreement
• 35 Palestinians killed and 72 injured despite declared ceasefire
• Rising death toll casts doubt on future of truce deal
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Saturday that 35 Palestinians were killed and 72 others injured over the past 24 hours, despite the ceasefire agreement that was supposed to take effect early Friday morning.
This latest toll raises the total number of victims of the ongoing aggression to 67,682 killed and 170,033 injured since October 7, 2023, casting serious doubt on the effectiveness and future of the ceasefire.
The announcement came at a highly sensitive time, as Gaza was expected to see calm following the historic ceasefire deal brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.

In its daily report, the Ministry of Health said hospitals across the Gaza Strip received 35 bodies and 72 wounded individuals in recent hours as a result of continued shelling and attacks in several areas. The figures indicate that the ceasefire has not been upheld on the ground, with civilians once again bearing the heaviest cost.
Ceasefire undermined
The killing of dozens after the official start of the truce is seen as clear evidence of the deal’s fragility and further erodes trust in ‘Israel’s’ willingness to abide by it.
What was celebrated internationally as a breakthrough for Gaza appears to have collapsed before its full implementation.
The region now faces a new phase of uncertainty - caught between last-minute diplomatic efforts to salvage the agreement and the looming prospect of a renewed cycle of war and violence amid the absence of any real political horizon.
