Khalil al-Hayya meets Egyptian intelligence chief to finalize Gaza deal: Reuters

A Palestinian source familiar with ongoing talks said Hamas chief Khalil al-Hayya and the Egyptian intelligence minister were meeting to “finalize the details” of a Gaza ceasefire agreement.

There was no immediate comment from the 'Israeli' government.

U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Wednesday that a deal to end the conflict in Gaza was “very close” and suggested he might travel to Egypt this weekend.

His envoys have joined negotiations in Egypt in an effort to secure a ceasefire and a captive-release agreement.
