President Donald Trump met on Tuesday with freed 'Israeli' captive Edan Alexander and the family of Omer Neutra, who was killed during the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt noted in a post on X that Neutra’s body remains in Gaza.

Edan Alexander, an 'Israeli'-American, was released last May as part of a Hamas goodwill gesture toward Trump’s efforts to secure a ceasefire; however, nearly five months later, a ceasefire has still not been reached.

Alexander, who is believed to be the last living US-'Israeli' captive in Gaza, did not hold back his support for the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). In September, he announced he would rejoin the IOF less than six months after his release.

Following his announcement to rejoin the IOF, Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, released a video addressing Alexander.

In the footage, Qassam Brigades reminded Alexander of moments during his captivity. “You will return to the army that tried to kill you multiple times, and we were the ones who protected you. Do you remember?”

The footage reminded him of moments during his captivity, including his rescue from a collapsed tunnel struck by 'Israeli' bombardment and subsequent handover to Red Cross staff.

The video includes scenes showing Qassam fighters rescuing Alexander from the rubble of a collapsed underground tunnel, reportedly struck by heavy 'Israeli' bombardment. Fighters are seen providing him with oxygen and urgent medical care.
