'Israeli' drone flies over Beirut suburb
An 'Israeli' drone flew at low altitude over the southern suburb of Beirut on Sunday, according to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA).
A video circulating on social media showed the unmanned aerial vehicle hovering above the densely populated district, with its sound clearly audible in the area.
Meanwhile, the NNA reported that the outskirts of the towns of Ramia and Aita al-Shaab, in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, were subjected to intermittent artillery shelling overnight. The fire was believed to have originated from a Merkava tank stationed at the recently established 'Israeli' position on Jabal Balat.
'Israel' has continued to launch airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, as well as in Beirut’s southern suburbs, despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on November 27. 'Israeli' forces also remain stationed at five locations in southern Lebanon, the agency added.
