Witkoff predicts ‘Gaza breakthrough’ soon as Trump presents 21-point peace plan

The United States is “hopeful… even confident that in the coming days we’ll be able to announce some sort of breakthrough” in Gaza, US special envoy Steve Witkoff said Wednesday, signaling renewed international efforts to resolve the ongoing 'Israeli' genocide in Gaza. 

Witkoff said that President Donald Trump’s 21-point peace plan had been presented to select world leaders on Tuesday during the UN General Assembly.

While details of the plan remain largely undisclosed, the announcement marks a significant step in Trump’s continued push for a resolution. 

“The United States is engaged at multiple levels to bring the parties to the table,” Witkoff added, underscoring Washington’s role as a mediator.

Trump’s 21-point plan reportedly covers a range of security, economic, and diplomatic measures aimed at ending hostilities in Gaza. Officials have not confirmed which leaders have seen the plan or how it has been received internationally.
