London’s Wembley Arena hosted the UK’s largest fundraising concert for Gaza on Thursday, organized by Together For Palestine and executive produced by legendary British musician Brian Eno.
Tickets were sold out, but the event was livestreamed on YouTube, allowing global audiences to take part in supporting Palestinian families in need.
Promoted as “a gathering of artists, musicians and people for whom silence feels impossible,” the concert aimed to raise millions for Palestinian-led humanitarian organizations, including Taawon, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and the Palestine Medical Relief Service.
The star-studded lineup spanned music, film, and activism. Performers included Paul Weller, Damon Albarn, Portishead, Nadine Shah, Neneh Cherry, PinkPantheress, Bastille, Jamie xx, and James Blake. Actors and public figures scheduled to appear included Benedict Cumberbatch, Florence Pugh, Guy Pearce, Jameela Jamil, Riz Ahmed, Ruth Negga, and former football star Eric Cantona. Palestinian artists Elyanna, Saint Levant, and El Far3i also performed.
The event featured interstitial segments directed by Amir Nizar Zuabi, highlighting the work of doctors, aid workers, teachers, and journalists in Gaza. Comedian Guz Khan, who hosted the show, said, “When you see kids in Gaza facing bombs instead of books, you realise this can’t be normalised. That silence isn’t an option. That’s why this concert matters. ‘Together For Palestine’ is about solidarity, love – and saying we see you, we stand with you.”
Palestinian DJ Abdulhadi, who performed alongside Jamie xx, added, “Everyone has a lever. Mine is a stage. I’ll use it at Wembley to amplify Palestinian voices and make space to grieve, unite, and recharge. For a free Palestine.”
High-profile attendees also included Italian scholar and UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, journalist Mehdi Hasan, broadcaster Louis Theroux, and Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos.
Brian Eno emphasized the humanitarian and symbolic importance of the event on Instagram, “Together we can raise millions in urgently needed aid for families in Gaza. Every penny donated will go to Palestinian partners through Choose Love, a UK charity supporting local humanitarians in conflict zones. But this is about more than just money. It’s about sending a message of love and solidarity to the people of Palestine, that they haven’t been forgotten. We see them, we hear them, and though we may be far away, we’re deeply connected – as we are to all humanity.”
