British singer Charli xcx shares UN post accusing 'Israel' of genocide

British pop star and Grammy winner Charli xcx recently amplified a post by a United Nations commission which states that 'Israel' is committing genocide in Gaza.

In an Instagram post cited by her thousands of followers, she shared the report’s findings, drawing renewed attention to the humanitarian crisis in the region.

The post refers to a report by a UN commission of inquiry, established under the Human Rights Council, which concluded that various actions by 'Israeli' authorities in Gaza meet multiple criteria under the 1948 Genocide Convention.

Among the findings are allegations of:

• Systematic obstruction of humanitarian aid
• Destruction of civilian infrastructure (including healthcare systems)
• Conditions that endanger life, especially of children. 

Charli xcx’s support of the post comes amid growing debates and widespread international discussion over the conduct of the 'Israeli' government in Gaza.

The UN inquiry has urged states to reconsider military aid, weapons transfers, and to hold those responsible to account under international law.
