‘Israel’ should be expelled from UN: Irish President
In a blistering attack, Irish President Michael D. Higgins criticized the European Union’s silence and called for halting trade with ‘Israel.’
He also demanded that ‘Israel’ and countries arming it be excluded from the United Nations, accusing ‘Israeli’ President Isaac Herzog of personally misleading him about Irish humanitarian aid supposed to reach Gaza.
According to the Irish Times, Higgins revealed during a speech in Ireland that he had asked Herzog directly about the fate of two Irish food shipments stuck at Gaza’s border, during their meeting at Pope Leo XIV’s inauguration in the Vatican on May 18.
Herzog had assured him the shipments would reach Palestinians the same day, but Higgins later discovered through the Irish embassy that the aid was stuck in Amman, Jordan, and had not been allowed through by ‘Israel.’

Higgins stressed that “there should be no hesitation any longer in ending trade with people who are inflicting this on our fellow human beings.”
He also sharply criticized the EU, accusing some member states of remaining silent in the face of a man-made famine, adding that the union cannot call itself a union if it fails to act against ‘Israel.’
These fiery statements come as a UN investigation concluded that ‘Israel’ committed acts of genocide in Gaza, systematically using starvation as a weapon to achieve its objectives in the ongoing nearly two-year-long offensive.
