Qatar strongly condemned the 'Israeli' strike on its capital, Doha, describing it as a “barbaric attack” and an act of “state terrorism,” according to statements made by the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.

The Qatari minister said the “reckless and treacherous” assault occurred while Doha was hosting sensitive negotiations on Gaza. He stressed that the attack was not only a strike on a location, but an “assault on the principle of mediation itself,” warning that it could derail the negotiation process.

He added that 'Israel’s' repeated violations of international law are fueled by the international community’s failure to hold it accountable, calling for “an end to silence and complacency in the face of this brutal aggression.” He also said the attack on Qatari sovereignty constituted a “blatant violation of international charters, diplomatic norms, and ethics.”

The Qatari Prime Minister urged the international community to end “double standards,” affirming that the region will never enjoy peace and security until the Palestinian people obtain their legitimate rights.

He concluded by praising the “unanimous condemnation of Israel and support for Qatar at the UN Security Council,” stressing that such acts would not deter Doha from continuing its efforts with Egypt and the United States to stop the war.
