A maritime air mass has brought cooler-than-average temperatures to the kingdom, with mild weather prevailing in Amman and mountainous regions.

The high in the capital reached about 29 degrees Celsius (84 F).

According to ArabiaWeather, the influence of these humid sea currents will increase in the coming days, enhancing the pleasant, cool feeling, particularly at night.

Cool Nights and Potential for Fog

The maritime air currents are expected to intensify tonight, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. Conditions will be pleasant and cool in most areas, especially in the highlands and eastern plains, which may require a light jacket.

With rising surface humidity, low clouds will form in northern Jordan, creating the chance for fog to develop over high mountain peaks in Ajloun, specifically in the Ras Munif area. Meanwhile, the weather will remain warm to moderate in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Tonight's expected low temperatures:

  • Highlands and Plains: 14-17 C (57-63 F)
  • Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba: 26-29 C (79-84 F)
  • Desert Areas: 18-20 C (64-68 F)

Moderate Summer Weather Continues

The kingdom will remain under the influence of winds from the Mediterranean Sea at the beginning of the week, with temperatures staying around their seasonal averages. The weather will be normal for summer in most areas with some low clouds, while it will remain hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Aqaba, and the desert. Northwesterly winds will be moderate, occasionally strengthening in the afternoon.

ArabiaWeather has issued important recommendations, advising citizens, especially schoolchildren, to be mindful of the temperature fluctuations between day and night. They suggest wearing a light jacket in the early morning in mountainous areas to avoid catching a cold and to avoid prolonged, direct sun exposure during peak afternoon hours, especially in the Jordan Valley.

Temperatures to Rise Again by Friday
The forecast indicates that warmer air will approach the kingdom at the end of the week. Temperatures will begin to gradually rise on Friday, returning to normal summer-like conditions across most areas and hot weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
